So what do you think?

I cast hesitation to the winds last night and had a go at pinning up the gate form I had in mind for this quilt as a trial. I think I like it.... but then started thinking today that it was maybe a bit too obvious (in a bad way).... What do you think?

I like it. It is simple, but effective and the scale of the quilt and layout suits it.

I don't think it is obvious as a gate form. You probably only think that because you know. It's good - get it done! Then you can do a little one with some leftovers and superimpose a stool on it.... just kidding, you can do what you like!

I love the shrine/gate form! Very inventive of you....
Another gorgous kimono quilt (and mine is still only in my mind!!!!). Whilst at Camberwell Market recently I happened upon two old cotton kimono's in dark indigo colours which of course I snaffled up quick smart. I think they will make a nice lining for my boro style quilt this year.
I've been away visiting my MIL again, she hasnt been doing very well with her treatment and for the moment they have stopped her chemo.
Nice to be back home and check on my favourite blogs and see what everyone has been up to.
